Facebook - Find out which friends have deleted YOU with this simple trick
By Victoria Woollaston for MailOnline. Deleting people from Facebook is seen as the ultimate insult for many, and now there's an app that lets you track such affronts.
Called Who Deleted Me on Facebook, the app does as the name suggests - it reveals which contacts have unfriended you on the site. It also shows which of your friends' accounts have become deactivated, who is online and keeps a track of friend numbers. It reveals which Facebook friends have deleted you, since the app was installed, as well as accounts that have been deactivated.
It also shows which friends are new, which friends you have deleted and who is currently online. There is also a free browser extension for Chrome. Once the app has been installed, users connect their Facebook account by signing in securely. The opening screen shows how many friends that user has and clicking 'View Friend List' reveals a page of lists. Clicking a person's name takes the user to their Facebook profile within the app. The app can only track friends who have deleted users, or deactivated their account, since it was installed, and notifications can also be used to get real-time details.

Earlier this year, a developer created a browser extension dubbed 'Marauder's Map' - inspired by Harry Potter's magical version that let the boy wizard track people around Hogwarts. Facebook recently deactivated its location sharing from the desktop website, but it is still shared on the mobile app. Android users have to disable location in the Facebook Messenger app itself. To do this they must tap on the Menu icon, select Settings, Location Services and untick the box that enables location sharing.
The extension loaded when a person opened their Messages tab and it 'scraped' the page for location data to show the movement of friends with a startling degree of accuracy. This seemingly prompted Facebook to deactivate its location sharing from the desktop website, meaning the code no longer works. But as Mr Khanna points out: 'It seems locations are still being shared on the mobile app and sharing is still enabled by default so the privacy problem still exists.

It tracks the location of every person in the grounds, shown as footprints labelled with the person's name. Facebook peppers you with notifications whenever someone adds you as a Friend — prompting you to write on their Facebook wall, start a conversation with them using Facebook Messenger, etc. However the hugely-successful social network stays suspiciously quiet whenever someone removes you as a Facebook Friend. A new web browser extension claims to keep you posted whenever someone removes you from their social network. In fact, the only thing it can't do — is tell you what exactly it is you're doing on Facebook that has driven people to ditch your online friendship.
After news of the Facebook data scandal , it's probably a good idea for all of us to do a Facebook audit and see who our friends are. We've probably all collected hundreds, if not thousands, over the years. It's important to trust the people you're friends with, too, since their friend list is shared each time they grant permission to an application, which means your name might be floating all over the place if you have a friend who's particularly cavalier with how he or she uses their Facebook account. Deleted Facebook friend requests can still see your public posts
Remember the good old days of Facebook shortly after you joined? You'd be all excited to hear from that friend from 6th grade or get a friend request from someone you'd lost touch with years ago. Today most of the friend requests we get are from people we don't know. Many of them are fake accounts, set up by spammers and hackers trying to get some of your information. You may delete those friend requests but that is not always the end of the story. Deleted Facebook friend requests become followers meaning they can see anything and everything you post to Facebook publicly. Case in point: I deleted a friend request last week from someone I knew was posing as someone else. Their profile photo was one taken off the internet. They had only a couple of friends, they set up an account last week and they'd posted only a couple of photos of flowers. Suspecting it was a spammer, I deleted the request but rather than disappearing, the fake account was following me.
