Ryback, also known as "The Big Guy", may seem like he has it all - success as a professional athlete, health, money, and a physique to envy.

Following his return as Ryback, he headlined several pay-per-view events for WWE and became a one-time Intercontinental Champion before his acrimonious departure from the company in He also played baseball during his freshman year at the Community College of Southern Nevada , but broke his leg and missed two seasons. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas , entering its fitness management program.

WWE never allowed Ryback to shift out of neutral. A lack of commitment and a series of hurried tweaks to his gimmick made The Big Guy's tenure with the company one marked by missed opportunities. It's easy to understand why Ryback was so frustrated when he left; WWE tripped him up. Among the most eye-catching things he said had to do with his booking and his place on the company hierarchy. They mishandled a lot of talents, but in my case particularly, I think it's been mishandled horribly.

He spoke with SI. I feel like part of it was he was his unhappiest with the company when he was working with me, and I kind of got tied into all of it. Although Ryback did receive support from his colleagues, like future WWE Hall of Famer Chris Jericho, he was severely disappointed that the company did not back him.
